    Mum and son

My 11 year old son and I have a weekly PT session with Heather. I have been seeking this exact set up for years and feel so lucky to have landed with Heather.
I wanted an hour with my son, being vulnerable to him, putting him in a position of power as the fitter person, building our fitness together, teaching him that health does not equal heavy weights or any of the toxic masculinity gym/ body narratives that are all too present in his life as a competive swimmer and young man.
Heather is truly invested in us, tailoring activities to our individual goals, making them relevant for my son, encouraging him to push through the hard things and the soreness. He was already pretty amazing but he has thrived and I have a very worthy classmate pushing me very hard!
Heather is kind and appropriately pushes, truly cares, plans carefully but also works on whatever might become relevant to you in the moment, and shares snippets of her own inspiring journey. It is the best investment I've ever made and hope it long continues. I would encourage anyone to consider working with her, especially with their child.

" I feel incredibly lucky to have trained with Heather throughout my pregnancy and beyond. As a former midwife, her knowledge and understanding of the body during and after pregnancy is truly unmatched — it gave me so much confidence knowing I was in such safe, experienced hands.

She tailored every session to exactly what I needed at each stage, always making sure I felt comfortable while still helping me stay strong and active. Her support went far beyond just physical training — she was reassuring, encouraging, and genuinely invested in my wellbeing.

Post-pregnancy, she has been just as amazing in helping me rebuild strength safely and regain confidence in my body. Her knowledge goes beyond pre/ post natal care with in depth biomechanics knowledge. I couldn’t recommend her more to any expecting or new mum along with anyone looking for expert guidance with a personal, caring approach."

"I have been working with Heather as my personal trainer since December 2019. Having a reoccurring injury and fallen out of love of exercising, I’m so delighted to have found Heather. I now enjoy my two 1-2-1 sessions a week, which allows us to track my injury triggers and build up muscle, with key exercises. I’ve seen positive progress, which has given me the buzz to enjoy exercising again. Absolutely recommend Heather as a great PT."

"I am so lucky to have found Heather as my personal trainer. From being paranoid of going to the gym to now being a total gym rat, I have honestly regained so much of self-confidence in myself again and am happier. As a PT, she really has helped me look at my health + emotional wellness holistically, my relationship with food has also improved as I was a heavy binge eater. For my training, she truly listens to me and takes my bodily limitations (i.e injuries) into consideration to create a plan that is most suitable for me, and allows me to get out of my comfort zone. She is also super empathetic, always encouraging balance over total fatigue/burn out so I am able to properly take care of myself. I started about 4-5 months ago and lost quite some weight (considering that previously no matter how much I worked out I rarely lost any weight), and filled nutrition gaps (i.e protein) with her guidance. I highly recommend Jenkins Fitness, Heather is simply the best :)"

"Heather is a fantastic PT who is really focused on providing a personal experience taylored to your goals. Heather provided a training plan based on my requirements that was really enjoyable from start to finish. It definitely left me with sore legs for most of the week but the results speak for themselves!"

  • Heather's Journey

I struggled with my weight from 7 years old- HATED exercise and LOVED food without moderation. I definitely am an emotional eater. In 2014 (25 years old) I reached 111KG (17.5 stone) and was utterly miserable. I never considered by overall health before I qualified as a Midwife in 2014. The vocation opened my eyes to the complications with fertility, pregnancy and being morbidly obese (which I was); not only the risks to me but any future pregnancy/baby. I found my WHY for improving my health! Of course I also wanted what most people want; to look and feel sexy too! I wanted to buy new clothes and not get completely stressed out over it and I wanted to look in the mirror and like what I saw.

I knew I wanted a family one day and I was reducing my chances of that happening through my lifestyle choices of eating too much and
not being active. My life changed- albeit not instantly, it took some time. My mindset began to change, as did my immediate actions. With good old fashioned exercise and eating healthier foods, I lost a total of 44kg's (6.9 stone) in 5 years. I had no training support, just self education and sheer determination. Now I dedicate myself to those who want to make life changing decisions and empower themselves to become healthier and happier! It's not easy alone- I want to provide the support and accountability that I didn't have which might of sped the process too! At 36, I've been diagnosed with ADHD and a lot of my eating habits and behaviours make so much sense- so having someone behind you with understanding if relevant to you- can make all the difference.
As a former Midwife and Personal Trainer based in Aylesbury, I have specialized in Pre and Postnatal exercise and Nutrition, weight loss
transformations and women's health and fitness and nutrition (peri-menopause, menopause and beyond). My main focus is mindset coaching and helping to empower you with a CAN DO attitude in our own private studio in Bierton.
ANYTHING is possible if you stop over- thinking it and take control!

    Don't think- just do!

I told myself this over and over and over throughout my journey. I realised- the longer we sit and think about doing something- anything. The more likely we are to procrastinate and not start.
